The Jerea River, also known as Losa, is a tributary of the Ebro that rises next to the town of Relloso, in the Sierra Carbonilla, on the dividing line between the Mediterranean and Atlantic basins. It rises above Puerto Angulo on the divide between the valleys of Mena and Losa.
It crosses the valleys of Losa and Tobalina and flows to the left of the Ebro River in the town of Palazuelos de Cuesta Urría, all in the Burgos region of Las Merindades, and runs through places of great scenic and cultural interest, its best known point being the jump of El Peñón between the towns of Pedrosa de Tobalina and La Orden.
