Plana del Vent is a combined cycle thermal power plant located in the municipality of Vandellós and situated at km.1124 of the N-340, in front of the nuclear plants of Vandellòs I and Vandellòs II. Its main fuel is natural gas, but it can also operate on diesel.
It has an installed capacity of 800 MWe. Its production began in the summer of 2007 and it cost 360 million euros. The operation and maintenance are the responsibility of General Electric.
