San Isidro is a city that is part of the population entities that make up the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, on the island of Tenerife —Canary Islands, Spain—.
The original name of the area was Chuchurumbache, a term of Guanche origin, which was given to the estate created in the place after the conquest. Starting in the 17th century, the area began to be known by the name San Isidro, due to the founding of the hermitage out of the devotion of the estate owners to this saint.[1][2][3]
