Tángel is a hamlet and rural district of the municipality of Alicante adjacent to the municipal term of Mutxamel. The small population center, consisting of just 36 inhabitants, is made up of about twenty houses and a church dedicated to Our Lady of Virtues, located on both sides of the old road that connected Alicante with Sant Joan, just after crossing the bridge over the Rambla del Juncaret. Among the houses in the hamlet, the Casa Gran stands out, a stately house already documented in 1876, and the Casino de Tángel, a house built in 1916.
