The objectives of this Spanish dressage institute include the maintenance of various forms of traditional dressage and the Andalusian horse.
The school's facilities consist of the Palacio Duque de Abrantes , the Saddlery , the Equestrian Art Museum , the Carriage Museum, and the Indoor Riding Center, which hosts the school's exhibitions and competitions. It also has a training room and a veterinary clinic.
The show How Andalusian Horses Dance was first performed by Álvaro Domecq Romero for the king, in honor of the Golden Horse he received. And the frost encouraged him to continue. This spectacle attracts about 150,000 visitors every year.
The extensive gardens of Recreo de las Cadenas can be considered a botanical garden due to their wide variety of exotic plants and the age of some specimens.
