The construction of this line was completed in 1892.
What is special about the arena is that it is carved into the rock . It has two floors, with boxes on the upper floor, and is equipped with all the comforts required by the regulations. The official capacity is 7,000 spectators.
It was inaugurated on August 7, 1892 with a bullfight of six bulls from Eduardo Miura's seguada, fought by Rafael Molina "Lagartijo" and Rafael Bejarano "Torerito".
Other important bullfights included the August 7, 1890 bullfight, while the arena was not yet completed, in which the Espéa Rafael Guerra “Guerrita” fought with six five-year-old bulls from the herd widow of the Marquise of Saltillo. On September 2, 1932 , in honor of D. Niceto Alcalá Zamora, 1st President of the Second Spanish Republic, a bullfight was held with bullfighters Marcial Lalanda, Manuel Bienvenida and Domingo Ortega, with bulls from the Manuel Arranz bullring. The commemorative corrida of the centenary was held on August 8, 1992 with bulls of the Luis Algarra Polera breed, replacing the bulls of the Marqués de Ruchena breed announced on the poster for the bullfighters Miguel Baez "Litri", Julio Aparicio and Finito. Cordoba.
