This building was designed in 1918 by the architect Ramón Balbuena y Huertas and expanded in 1927 by Manuel Cuadrillero Sáez.
The Laredo Building takes its name from the old and historic Bar Laredo , which was installed in the building in 1945.
It is a clear example of Sevillian regionalist architecture. . This characteristic building, with the exposed brick that was so popular in the first third of the 20th century, has other unique features of the architectural style, such as bars or ceramics. Noteworthy about the facade are the large wooden shutters , the bands and squares of polychrome artistic tiling, the delicate wrought iron work on the railings and the upper finial consisting of ceramic vases.
It currently belongs to the Town Hall and is the headquarters of several delegations. The Seville Tourism Consortium is headquartered in these facilities.
