Second stage of 65 km of the Camino del Cid. The stage from Burgos to Covarrubias is part of the route El Destierro (The Exile), the northernmost part of the 360 km Camino del Cid that runs from Vivar del Cid to Atienza.
Hilly course (about 620 meters of elevation) but nowhere really heavy. Along the way, the monastery of San Pedro de Cardeña where the body of El Cid has been buried for centuries.
