Description by the author

This walk is part of a triptych of city guides in Seville that together visit the main attractions in the broad vicinity of the city center of Seville. Anyone who completes the 3 walks has seen Seville.

The walk starts at the Plaza de armas where the buses have their final stop.

We walk to the Museo de Bellas Artes de Sevilla, the main museum of Fine Arts in Seville and Andalusia. After the Prado Museum in Madrid, this is perhaps the most important art museum in Spain. We continue and arrive just at the corner of the Plaza de la Encarnación which was thoroughly visited in part 1.

But here at the corner stands the Palacio del Marqués de la Motilla, one of the most beautiful in Seville. Further along we reach the Plaza del Salvador with the Hospital de Nuestra Señora de la Paz and the Iglesia Colegial del Divino Salvador, after the Cathedral, the most important church in Seville.

We pass the Museo del Baile Flamenco, the first and so far only museum in the world dedicated to this art. In the Convento San Leandro the typical candies are made. The further located Casa de Pilatos is the most beautiful palace in Seville after the Alcazar.

The Palacio de Altamira was built with the aim of establishing a Mudejar palace-like building after the model of the Real Alcázar. Further down, in La Casa del Flamenco, a flamenco show is performed every evening in the courtyard. The Patio de Banderas is located in the vicinity of the Reales Alcázares.

Around the Plaza del Triunfo we find several important buildings, the most important of which is of course the cathedral.

Also around the Plaza Nueva we find many noteworthy buildings and monuments.

We pass the semicircular Plaza del Cabildo and the municipal craft market El Postigo, an emblematic building. We see the Toro del Oro, but this will be visited in the third part of this triptych.

Along the water, we arrive at the Plaza de Toros with one of the most iconic and historic bullrings in the world.

Be sure to check out the explanation of the attractions once you are there. They provide information about what you will see.
