GR-3. Stage 22. Estana-Bellver de Cerdanya

Stage 22 of the GR-3, which goes from Estana to Bellver de Cerdanya, is an 18.9-kilometer hiking route that is considered to have a difficult level of difficulty. Along this route, hikers venture into the heart of the Low Cerdanya region, where natural beauty and history intertwine. The starting point is Estana, a small village known for its church, Sant Climent d'Estana, an example of Catalan Romanesque architecture. This church, dating from the 11th century, is a testimony to the historical heritage of the region and offers a tranquil setting to begin the adventure. As they progress through the route, walkers experience an accumulated ascent of 503 meters, providing panoramic views of the mountainous landscapes that characterize the area. One of the most significant stops along the way is the Sanctuary of Santa María de Bastanist, located at the foot of the Cadí mountain range, near Montellà i Martinet.
