GR-8.1. Stage 01. Las Planas-La Algecira

The GR-8.1 route, Stage 01, which connects Las Planas with La Algecira, extends for 10.1 kilometers through the beautiful Ebro Valley in the province of Teruel. This stage presents a medium difficulty, making it an accessible option for hikers with an intermediate level of experience. Along the route, walkers will encounter a cumulative elevation gain of 327 meters, which offers a moderate challenge and the opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of the region. The starting point, Las Planas de Castellote, is a neighborhood that is part of the municipality of Castellote. This locality, situated in a privileged natural environment, is known for its rich history and traditional architecture.
