The western shore of Lake Chalain, in France, is one of the 111 prehistoric pile-dwelling sites around the Alps listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site is located on the west bank of Lake Chalain, in the Jura massif, between the municipalities of Fontenu, Marigny, and Doucier, in the Jura, in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region.
