The Ardenne Museum is a municipal museum in France belonging to the city of Charleville-Mézières. Located in the buildings of Place Ducale, the museum offers various rooms on several levels showcasing the history of the city as well as that of the cross-border Ardennes. Like all the pavilions in Place Ducale, it is protected, being classified as a historical monument in 1944 and registered in 1980. The museum is housed in several buildings built from the 17th to the 20th century, arranged around an inner courtyard and a garden. It provides a public passage connecting Place Ducale to Winston-Churchill Square. It was renovated by architects François Peiffer, Bruno Freycenon, Franck Plays, and Christian Vanelle who created a modern extension combining glass and steel. It was inaugurated on October 20, 1994, and showcases its collections over an area of 3,400 square meters.
