The Dupuy-Mestreau Museum is a cultural establishment in the city of Saintes, in the Charente-Maritime department of France. The museum is set in the Monconseil hotel, an old private mansion built in the 18th century for Marquis Étienne Guinot de Monconseil, a member of the local aristocracy who was once appointed governor of Upper Alsace. The foundation stone of this impressive building overlooking the Charente quays was laid in 1738. Its monumental façade facing the river, adorned with keystones, masks, and bordered by a wide wrought-iron balustrade, is inspired by the rococo style prevalent at the time. Extended by a large triangular pediment, it is listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments by an order dated January 12, 1931.
