The Church of Saint-Charles is a neoclassical church located in Nîmes, in the Gard department and Occitanie region. It was listed as a historical monument in 2010.In 1686, the site was occupied by the establishment of the Doctrinaires with a priory-cure and a seminary in the faubourg des prêcheurs in Nîmes. Between 1772 and 1773, the parish of Saint-Charles was founded by Bishop de Becdelièvre and then by the king. The construction of the church was carried out from 1774 to 1776 by the architect Claude Rollin, due to the significant development of the suburbs of Nîmes during the 17th and 18th centuries. During the Revolution, the church was ransacked and then returned to a parish in 1801. From 1856 to 1886, the building was enlarged and a new chancel was added as an extension of the original nave. His exact surname is "Saint-Charles-Borromeo".
