Blauvac is situated on top of a hill. Here you have a view of the Monts de Vaucluse in the south and in the north on the Mont Ventoux.
The parish of Blauvac was founded in 1273. Because the houses were very scattered at first, they were easy prey for looters. That is why in the 14th century a castle was built around which the village joined. The current castle dates from the 15th century, but was completely rebuilt in the 1552. It was a square castle with four towers on the corners that remained intact until the end of the 19th century. One of the four towers is still standing.
The parish church is dedicated to Saint Sebastian. Furthermore, we pass two more chapels. In the descent Notre Dame des Neiges and down in the valley Saint-Estève.
We follow the road through the village and then descending all the way to a main road.
