Blauvac is located on top of a hill. Here you have a view of the Monts de Vaucluse in the south and in the north on Mont Ventoux.
The parish of Blauvac was founded in 1273. Because the houses were very scattered at first, they were easy prey for looters. That is why a castle was built in the 14th century, around which the village joined. The current castle dates from the 15th century, but was completely rebuilt in 1552. It was a square castle with four towers at the corners that remained standing until the end of the 19th century. Of the four towers, one remains.
The parish church is dedicated to Saint Sebastian. We also pass two chapels. In the descent Notre Dame des Neiges and down in the valley Saint-Estève.
We follow the road right through the village. Beyond the village follows a winding descent. All the way down we come to a main road.
