The lighthouse of Gacholle is located in the Camargue along the sea between Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and Salin-de-Giraud, 1500 meters inland. The lighthouse provides access to the Gulf of Beauduc and allows to avoid the dangers of the cape of Sablon. In his original state, the tower was equipped with an incandescent lamp or Aladdin lamp.
