Public reading assignments
The Libraries of Amiens Métropole are a public service responsible for contributing to the leisure, information, documentary research, continuing education and cultural activity of the population.
Their vocation is to give people a taste for reading, to participate in opening up to the world and to be a place of knowledge.
Through their book-based activities, libraries bring awakening and knowledge to all.
Heritage missions
The Libraries of Amiens Métropole are custodians of heritage collections and are responsible for collecting items printed in Picardy or about Picardy. Within the framework of an associated Pole agreement with the National Library of France, the Libraries of Amiens Métropole are the centre of the Legal Printer's Deposit for Picardy.
