Lapeleau is a French commune with 373 inhabitants in the Corrèze department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The commune is the seat of the Ventadour-Égletons-Monédières community association and part of the Égletons canton. The commune is located in the Massif Central, on the Luzège river, about three kilometers south of the Barrage de la Luzège dam, and is surrounded by extensive forests. Tulle, the prefecture of the department, is about 40 kilometers west, Égletons is about 15 kilometers northwest, and Ussel is roughly 35 kilometers northeast.
