Saint-Georges-de-Rex

Saint-Georges-de-Rex is a French commune with 451 inhabitants in the Deux-Sèvres department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It belongs to the Niort arrondissement and the Mignon-et-Boutonne canton. Saint-Georges-de-Rex is located about 40 kilometers northeast of La Rochelle and about 15 kilometers southwest of Niort. Numerous canals run through the commune. The commune is part of the Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park. Saint-Georges-de-Rex is surrounded by the neighboring communes of Le Vanneau-Irleau to the north, Sansais to the east and northeast, Amuré to the east, Le Bourdet to the south, Saint-Hilaire-la-Palud to the west, and Arçais to the northwest.
