Pouilly-sous-Charlieu

Pouilly-sous-Charlieu is a French commune with 2,532 inhabitants in the Loire department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The commune belongs to the Roanne arrondissements and the Charlieu canton. Pouilly-sous-Charlieu is bordered to the north by the Sornin River, which flows into the Loire in the northwestern corner of the commune, forming the western boundary of the commune. The southern area of the commune is traversed by the Jarnossin River. Pouilly-sous-Charlieu is surrounded by the neighboring communes of Saint-Nizier-sous-Charlieu to the north, Charlieu to the northeast, Chandon to the east, Saint-Hilaire-sous-Charlieu and Nandax to the southeast, Vougy to the south, and Briennon to the west.
