Limeray is a French commune in the department of Indre-et-Loire, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, equidistant from Blois and Tours, and 5 km upstream from Amboise. Located at the foot of the northern slope of the Loire, Limeray is at the heart of the Loire Valley, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2000. It is also part of the Pays d'art et d'histoire as one of the 58 communes of the Pays de Loire Touraine surrounding Amboise, placed in the heart of the chateaux of the Loire.
