Isigny-le-Buat is a French commune with 3,221 inhabitants in the Manche department in the Normandy region. It belongs to the arrondissement of Avranches and is the only major town in the canton of Isigny-le-Buat. The inhabitants are called Isignois. Isigny-le-Buat is bordered to the south by the Sélune River. Isigny-le-Buat is surrounded by the neighboring communes of Le Grand-Celland and La Chapelle-Urée to the north, Reffuveille to the northeast, Le Mesnillard and Martigny to the east, Virey to the southeast, Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët with Saint-Martin-de-Landelles to the south, Saint-Laurent-de-Terregatte to the southwest, Ducey-Les Chéris with Ducey and Les Chéris to the west, as well as Marcilly and Le Mesnil-Ozenne to the northwest.
