Gavaudun is a French commune with 291 inhabitants in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The commune belongs to the arrondissement of Villeneuve-sur-Lot and the canton of Le Haut Agenais Périgord. The name of the commune is derived from the Gabalians, a Celtic tribe that was originally native to Gévaudan.
