Quissac is a southern French municipality with 3,299 inhabitants in the Gard department in the Occitanie region. Quissac is located in the southeastern foothills of the Cevennes at an altitude of about 80 m above sea level, approximately 45 km northeast of Montpellier along the Vidourle River. The climate is temperate; rain falls throughout the year. The Crieulon River, with its flood control dam Barrage de la Rouvière, runs along the eastern boundary of the municipality.
