Alligny-en-Morvan is a French municipality with 607 inhabitants in the Nièvre department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. It belongs to the Château-Chinon district and the Château-Chinon canton. The inhabitants are called Allignycois. Alligny-en-Morvan is located about 66 kilometers west-southwest of Dijon in the Morvan. Alligny-en-Morvan is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Champeau-en-Morvan to the north, Saint-Martin-de-la-Mer to the east and northeast, Blanot to the east and southeast, Moux-en-Morvan to the south, Gouloux to the west and northwest, and Saint-Brisson to the northwest.
