Louer is a French commune located in the Landes department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The climate that characterizes the commune is classified, in 2010, as "altered oceanic climate," according to the climate typology of France, which then counts eight main types of climates in mainland France. In 2020, the commune is categorized within the same type of climate in the classification established by Météo-France, which now includes only five main types of climates in mainland France in its initial approach. It is a transitional zone between the oceanic climate and mountain climates as well as the semi-continental climate. The temperature differences between winter and summer increase with the distance from the sea. Rainfall is lower than on the coast, except near the hills.
