Brassy is a French commune with 592 inhabitants in the Nièvre department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. It belongs to the Château-Chinon arrondissement and the Corbigny canton. Brassy is located about 60 kilometers south of Auxerre. The Chalaux river flows through the commune. Brassy is surrounded by the neighboring communes of Saint-Martin-du-Puy to the north and northwest, Marigny-l’Église to the north and northeast, Dun-les-Places to the east, Montsauche-les-Settons to the east and southeast, Ouroux-en-Morvan to the south, Gâcogne to the southwest, and Lormes to the west and northwest.
