Bidart is a French commune with 6,975 inhabitants in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It is located in the Bayonne arrondissement and is part of the Saint-Jean-de-Luz canton. The inhabitants are called Bidartar. Bidart is part of the historical Basque province of Labourd and lies on the Uhabia River, which flows into the Bay of Biscay here. Bidart is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Biarritz to the north, Arbonne to the east, Ahetze to the southeast, Saint-Jean-de-Luz to the south, and Guéthary to the southwest.
