Quaëdypre [kwadipʁ] is a French commune located in the Nord department, in the Hauts-de-France region. The climate that characterizes the commune is classified, in 2010, as "altered oceanic climate," according to the typology of climates in France, which at that time included eight major types of climates in the mainland. In 2020, the commune remained in the same type of climate in the classification established by Météo-France, which now includes only five major types of climates in the mainland in its initial approach. This area is a transition zone between oceanic climate, mountain climate, and semi-continental climate. The temperature differences between winter and summer increase with the distance from the sea. Precipitation is lower than on the coast, except near the foothills.
