Saint-Martial is a French commune, geographically located at the foot of the Mézenc Massif, administratively situated in the Ardèche department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, and which was formerly attached to the old province of Vivarais. The territory of the commune benefits, near the central town, from the presence of an artificial lake of thirteen hectares created in the 1970s from a natural resurgence, as well as a significant forested area of medium mountain mainly composed of beech trees, Douglas firs, and spruces.
