Veigné is a French commune with 6,423 inhabitants in the Indre-et-Loire department in the Centre-Val de Loire region; it belongs to the Tours arrondissement and the Monts canton. The inhabitants are called Vindiniens. Veigné is located about 14 kilometers south of Tours on the Indre River, where the Bourdin river flows in from the west and the Saint-Branchs from the east under the name Ruisseau de Taffonneau. Neighboring communes are Chambray-lès-Tours to the north, Esvres to the east, Saint-Branchs to the south, Sorigny to the southwest, Montbazon and Monts to the west, and Joué-lès-Tours to the northwest.
