Cernay

Known since antiquity (the battle of the Ochsenfeld saw Julius Caesar's victory over Arioviste's barbarian troops), Cernay has preserved some of the remains of a fortified town dating back to the Middle Ages. The streets of the town center remain faithful to the square layout of the old town, and the Porte de Thann houses the town's historical museum.
Wander through the streets to discover traces of the past, admire the storks that gather in the park of the same name or take a break in the Parc des Rives de la Thur.

With its rich industrial past, the town's advantageous location, the dynamism of its inhabitants and its attractive business parks have attracted numerous companies (automotive equipment, chemicals, textiles, etc.).

It is also an essential stopping-off point for some of Alsace's most picturesque tourist routes: the Route des Vins, the Route des Crêtes and the Route de la Truite.
