Saint-Pé-Saint-Simon is a commune in the South-West of France, located in the department of Lot-et-Garonne. The climate that characterizes the commune is qualified, in 2010, as "South-West Basin climate," according to the climate typology of France, which then includes eight major types of climates in the mainland. In 2020, the commune falls under the type "altered oceanic climate" in the classification established by Météo-France, which now lists only five major types of climates in the mainland at first approach. It is a transitional zone between oceanic climate and mountain and semi-continental climates. The temperature differences between winter and summer increase with distance from the sea. Rainfall is lower than at the seaside, except near the reliefs.
