The hotel for travelers was built in the mid-19th century. It is particularly known for having been a stopover point for Aéropostale since 1919. The aviator Jean Mermoz stayed in room no 20 while Saint-Exupéry occupied room no 32, which has a large balcony overlooking Place du Capitole. Part of it was listed as a historic monument in January 1999.
