Aveyron is the area of the cheese Roquefort. The legend is that Charlemagne passed through this area during his campaign to Spain in 778. The monks of the St.Gall monastery served him Roquefort. He started to cut out the blue parts of the cheee because Charlemagne considered it to be digusting. The monks convinced him that the blue parts were the best. After he tried it, he ordered the monks to deliver two wheels per year to him until his death in 814.
