Fontaine de Vaucluse is one of the most visited places in Provence. In the summer months, it is really crowded with people. These are tourists looking for some cooling off at the source of the Sorgue. Especially the area between the roundabout and the source is dotted with souvenir shops.
The village owes its success to the impressive source of the Sorgue. The source is the most powerful in France and the fifth largest source in the world.
But before I throw some numbers at you, you should first enjoy the water in detail. Remarkably, it is green. Each section has different shades of green.
We cross the bridge and turn right upwards. We cycle along the shopping street to the source.
