The Crise Valley is a historic site where important battles were fought. Numerous churches and castles have been built here, and some of the remains can still be visited. Berzy-le-Sec castle dates from between the 12th and 16th centuries, having undergone several stages of construction. What remains today are the ruins of the building: adjacent moats and an inner courtyard. From the 18th century until the First World War, the château was used as a farm. Restoration underway since 2000/2001 as part of volunteer workcamps. Weekend sessions + 15-day work camps in summer. Last restored in 1934/1944.
Various workcamps, ranging from stone-cutting to terracotta, pottery and culinary arts, are offered during the summer. Program available on the association's website
