A curious rectangular fortress comes into view. Once known as the "Château du Haut", La Folie reminds you that you're standing on the edge of a forest, in a leafy field. Although the castle was destroyed in the First World War, the sight of the limestone moats is still breathtaking. With the remains of its towers at the corners and along the curtain walls, Château de la Folie is representative of the royal castles of the early 13th century. Free admission.
