The work which owes its name to the Royal Colysée, a place of pleasures and festivities built in Lambersart during the Age of Enlightenment, has been designed as a true “sculpted object” erected in the heart of the plain by the Deûle river. Its parallelepiped volume is crossed diagonally by a monumental staircase that leads to the top of the structure (10.89 m) where one can have a panoramic view of the plain, the gardens, and the Grand Tournant. Its terraces offer a viewpoint on the shows and events proposed on the site serviced by three footbridges over the Deûle.
