The Museum opened its doors on June 5, 2005, and is enjoying great success among visitors who are pleasantly surprised to discover what the three rooms contain. Old stones, ancient documents, testimonies, weapons, uniforms, photos, various objects... recount the significant moments in the history of the city, from its origins to the present day. But the members of the association "Erquinghem-Lys and its History" do not intend to stop there. They have a permanent collection that they plan to regularly showcase during temporary exhibitions. Keeping the museum alive, enriching it, and improving it are their goals. So, fair winds to the "Museum of the City of Ercan."
