The new Fromelles Military Cemetery "Pheasant Wood Military Cimetery" was built not far from the field where the bodies of Commonwealth soldiers were found in 2008. The 241 Austalian soldiers, fallen in action between 16 and 17 July 1916 and buried in mass graves by German troops are buried there.
