The birds after mining.
A little on the fringes of the former mining basin of Nord Pas-de-Calais, the Chabaud-Latour site has gone green to become one of the richest ornithological sites in the region! Erased the traces of a laborious past of strong mining: ponds, forest plantations and slag heaps give a fascinating reading of the landscape.
Here, even in extreme cold, the current maintains a frost-free space to the delight of the birds who find their food there! You will see, for sure, a Great Cormorant or a Northern Harrier. Unless coots and other ducks, teals and mallards splash you.
