Quingey is a commune and former canton seat in the Doubs department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France.The commune is at the western extremity of the department of Doubs, a dozen km from the department of Jura. The river Loue runs through it. On the north is the valley of the river Doubs, the vast forests of Chaux and the Val d'Amour lie on the west, the mountains of Salins on the south, and the valley of the Lison on the east.
