Chaumousey is a French municipality with 901 inhabitants in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region. It belongs to the Épinal arrondissement and the Épinal intercommunal association.
The municipality of Chaumousey is located ten kilometers west of Épinal on a plateau that separates the catchment areas of the Moselle, Madon, and Saône rivers. The Canal des Vosges runs immediately past the northern border of Chaumousey, which, coming from the Moselle valley in Épinal, reaches the summit of the European watershed after the ascent over the lock staircase of Golbey, fed by the nearby Reservoir de Bouzey.
