Leers is a French municipality in the Nord department. The place is part of the Lille arrondissement. Leers is located near the Belgian border. On the other side of the border lies the Belgian village of Leers-Nord. The village center of Leers has now merged with the new residential areas of Belgian Leers-Nord. In the south of the municipality, on the border with Belgian Néchin, is the border hamlet of Gibraltar.
