Ounans is a French commune located in the Val d'Amour, valley of the Jura department in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region.
The village is situated in the Val d'Amour, on the left bank of the Loue. Its shape is that of a Greek cross. The houses are tiered along the edges of the road from Dole to Salins and on two streets that intersect this road at right angles.
