Ranrupt is a French municipality with 313 inhabitants in the upper valley of the Bruche in the Vosges mountains, as well as in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region. The municipality belonged to the canton of Saales from the French Revolution until 2015 and has since been part of the canton of Mutzig. Ranrupt also includes the districts of Le Haut-Ranrupt, Fonrupt, Stampoumont, and La Salcée. An early mention of Ranrupt dates back to the year 1262.
