Saint-Maurice-d'Ibie is a French commune located in the Ardèche department, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The Ibie valley, about thirty kilometers long, starts at the foot of the Coiron in Villeneuve de Berg and ends at the confluence with the Ardèche. Its river is a true dry riverbed for most of the year. Many house walls are built with pebbles carried by the Ibie. Essentially limestone, the Ibie valley, when it widens, is covered with alluvium making its slopes fertile. Grapes are mainly found there, but also lavender and a little bit of cereals.
